Mingleverse redesign is a project aimed to assist Mingleverse to become the leading communication platform as they expand from desktop to iOS domain.

Mingleverse Laboratories

Mingleverse is a real-time online communication platform that uses voice and multimedia sharing to communicate and collaborate. Their attempt was to provide an alternative venue for social interactions with friends and family, collaborating with people at work, and teaching and being taught.

Multiple user experience researches were conducted. We analyzed the existing desktop application and systems with similar social interactions to select best practices. We developed personas and user scenarios to identify potential market and revealed user needs as guidelines to influence the design and development on both desktop and mobile opportunities.

 

The research and data helped the team to prioritize features as well as requirements to bridge the gap between existing Mingleverse to the future leading social interaction application.

My Role

I was the user experience lead and worked collaboratively with Mingleverse Laboratories and the team to provide engaging user experiences by redesigning a much more intuitive interface and introducing new application features. 

User centered design

After we presented our findings and collaborated with Mingleverse, we decided to focus on mobile application; it is their next business milestone. We implemented functionalities and features that enhance sharing experience and increased social interaction. High and low fidelity prototypes and wireframes were applied to communicate features, visuals and concepts. 

Defining the new Mingleverse

Mingleverse Laboratories was very satisfied with the fully functional Mingleverse application prototype. They voted internally to continue approaching with our proof of concept.
